La France in Penang

There's a new restaurant in town. I used to think that Penang had no restaurants offering French cuisine except in over-priced hotels. Even that was hard to come-by.

Recently, I've discovered this new place sitting in the heart of town at Jalan Irrawadi. It was previously only a foodstall at Northam Beach foodcourt. Now, it's upgraded into a real restaurant!

Nice cozy ambience

I tried the set Lunch which is on till 4pm, by the way
I chose to savour the chicken bolognaise. There was something different about this. They used fusilli pasta instead of spaghetti and i liked it! The taste & use of freash tomatoes just oozed out of this dish. Only downside was the thickness of the sauce. It was too watery. Perhaps the pasta wasn't drained properly before adding the sauce? or was it suppose to be like that? You be the judge :)


I had the chicken bolognaise!

The best was the dessert!! I love love love the dessert! It was crepe with ice-cream. The crepe was soft and sweet and oh, so yummy! It's definately a must-try!
