My Daiso Haul

Today, post-call and half drowssy, I made my way to Queensbay to have lunch and to specifically shop at Daiso.

Ever since I bought the IKEA cupboard, I've been wanting the drawer separators found only from Daiso.
It's simple to asemble and keeps my drawers tidy (however temporary that maybe)

Managed to get the bag hanger too! Now i can dine anywhere and hang my bags or buys underneath the table without the hassle of looking for an extra chair :)

Oh, and this time, I manage to get my hands on this huge (the largest that's on sale) gift box - pink stripes with star-dotted cover. It's usually hard to find huge boxes still left on the shelves as they are in demand. I was lucky there were only 5 left, out of the rows of mini mini boxes.

All in all, my Daiso haul included 1 pretty pink box, 2 metal hangers, 1 plastic drawer divider, 1 plastic divider holder, and 1 bag hanger... Grand total of RM30 + RM0.20 for plastic bag :)

FullHouse @ Penang Times Square

11.11.11 marked happy beginnings for many couples who tied the knot on that particular date. It also meant the beginning of a branch of a restaurant that started in KL - FullHouse.

It's a lifestyle store cum cafe.

I went there the day after it's opening... to avoid the crowds of people. You know Penang-lang la - new broom sweeps clean.

But my decision to go the day after - big mistake. Because their much cheaper set lunches were only available on weekdays - drats!

Anyway, I did order two mains, one soups and one dessert - all ala chart. The total came-up to RM61
@_@ (very pricey!)

The food was just so-so. And the service, err.. could have been better

I liked the interior decor the MOST - love love love the English style decorations and the white walls - 3 thumbs-up!

Now, back to the food.

Main 1 - Club Sandwich (RM13.90)

~~~~~~~~
Main 2 - Chicken Chop (RM16.90)
~~~~~~~~~~
Soup - Clam Chowder (RM8.90)
~~~~~~~~
Dessert - Profiterole (RM9.90)
Of all, i think the Club Sandwich was the best.
The Profiterole, I expected to be good from the looks of the glossy menu-magazine, but unfortunately it eas disappointing.
It even looked different from the picture in the magazine.
 ~It's even written as a discreption that "vanila CHOCOLATE sauce" is used.  :(
Sigh.
Disappointing.
I decided to give this place another chance.
So, my second dining experience was a week later, on the 18th Nov.
This time, I made sure I went on a weekday to sample their set lunches. Which comes with free soup and drink
This time I ordered two set lunches, and dessert - Petit Fours!
Total came up to RM54.30 for much much more food at much less RM$$$ cost
Set 1  - Spaghetti Carbonara (RM16.90)
Set 2 - Dory Fish (RM16.90)
Dessert - part of the set lunches: Mint cake & .... can't remember the other cake's name
 The coating of cream on both cakes were so thick that it covered almost 70% of the whole piece of cake. It's like eating cream and not cake :(
My extra orders -  Petit Fours (RM13) for a box of 6
 The only reason I ordered extra was because I felt that Fullhouse could still prove to be worth having tea at since it's lunch meals weren't so great. So I chose another 6 more petit four cakes - hoping that it wouldn't be as heavily coated with cream as the above two which were free with the set meals.
Alas, the cakes were just pretty to look at and not big on taste. Disappointed again.
Well, let's just say that I had eaten better for much less $$
Anyway, i suppose this cafe can be a nice place to feast your eyes on, but not for the belly. Perhaps it's a good hang-out place just for drinks.
Remember, go for the sat  lunches! worth so much more than the ala chart.
You be the judge!   :)
