Bountiful Kitchen

This is yet another new restaurant in Penang. It serves fusion food, a marriage between western food and Northen Indian cuisine. This restaurant lies at the beginning of Jones Road in the Pulau Tikus area and is run by award winning chef Raj who was previously working at G Hotel.



Today was my second time in a month at this restaurant for dinner. The reason mainly being that I had bought Everyday coupons (everyday.com) for their 4-course set dinner :) @ RM12.90 per person.

There were 4 choices of main course for the set menu:-
1) Mexican Fish
2) Hydrabad Chicken with Briyani Rice
3) Cumin Chicken
4) Spaghetti Kapitan with Garlic Bread

Each main course came with a drink, soup of the day and a scoop of ice-cream for dessert.

Honey lemon - Best drink served hot! Very refreshing!

On both days, I took the Mexican Fish!
This is no ordinary dory fish dish.. For starters, they don't give you dory fish. It's a HUGE thick piece of ?Mackeral (correct me if i'm wrong) Seriously the thickness of the fish makes this set meal so worth your money!! And that made me order it twice!

Look at the size of that fish - juicy and THICK! worth every penny :)

The other dish that i tried was the Hydrabad Chicken with Briyani Rice.
The sause was special for the chicken. Tomato based with peppers and vegetables - Nice. And the rice was just the right thing to go with the chicken. Some people like their rice mushy, but not me. And they way they'd prepared the rice was just the way i like it - grainy but not dry - just right :)

Last but not least, DESSERT - Ice cream!


First time was Mint ice-cream

Second time was Strawberry ice-cream
