Sushi King Bonanza.. just in time before GST

It's Sushi King's Bonanza time! It was held from 23-26th March 2015 and boy did I knock myself out with sushi!
Amids the forth coming GST on all goods and services, many people like myself have been trying to spend as much and stock-up before GST kicks-in come April 1st.

I went to Sushi King Midvalley for the Bonanza where all coloured plates costs only RM3. Well, previous years it cost only RM2 per plate... I guess because of inflation and now GST, things will keep going up *sigHH*

All the sushi you'll ever wanna eat. All coloured plates for RM3 each.

ebi fried

Tuna stuff tofu

salmon roll

jelly fish - absolute favourite!

Usually red plates and purple plates cost  RM4.99, RM5.99 each. Now they're going for RM3 flat! Pink plates were RM3.99 each on normal days.

Imagine the long long queues at all their outlets during the Bonanza period...

I tried to reach at any 1 outlet by 5.30pm just to beat the queues.

Everyone's table is given a time limit of 45min and there's no take-away for RM3 per plate unless you wanna pay normal prices for it.

10 coloured plates for another
8 coloured plates for one person

It's not surprising that most of my plate choices were unintensionally purple and red coloured...
This is the time you want to take advantage of the bonanza to order all kinds of dishes which you normally won't because of the prices. *all smiles*

How many plates can you eat?

GAP Haul

Christmas is just round the corner! I can't believe it...
Earlier, I was in KL from the 15-17th December for Christmas shopping

And I managed to snag a few items from GAP as they were having their year-end sale.
I first went to GAP at Mid-valley megamall and it was totally full of people. The better items there were also almost all gone.

Then I happened to stop-by Paradigm mall on my last day in KL and lo-behold! GAP just opened there and they had lots of stock on SALE!

I got myself a hoodie - this was so comfortable! I bought 3 items so, on top of the 50% off, I had an additional 10% discount. (AWESOME!!)

THe other 2 items were t-shirts for family members :)

Christmas is gonna be so awesome this year!!

Starbucks @ The Gardens, Midvalley

Starbucks coffee has come along way in Malaysia. And just recently, when I was in KL around end of October to early November, I got to indulge at a Starbucks at The Gardens, Midvalley. This was probably the noisiest outlets I have ever been to!!! NOISIEST, I tell you!

For startes, yes, they are making lotsa $$$ as people come in and out of this outlet like nobody's business. It's really popular. And second, unfortunately, that day when I went in with my girlfriends, there was this one table with a super LOUD guy talking as though he owned the whole place. Or rather, he's voice was so loud, he though everyone wanted to listen to his conversations. (vomit blood!) Everyone kept looking over their shoulders just to glare at the insensitive guy, but he just kept going-on LOUDLY as he could possibly be. OMG!
Finally my girlfriends and I just left the place from having an ear ache!

Enough of venting, I shall now divert all attention to the one piece of cake ~~ the Red velvet!

It was moist and creamy. But in the end, I guess Red Velvet is not my kinda cake. I suppose I'm more of a traditional chocolate cake - kinda girl :)

Carl's Jr Burger @ Midvalley Megamall

Penang used to have one Carl's Jr outlet back in the 90s'. Yes, it was thaaaaaaat long ago! But like many food outlets, this couldn't survive. However they did thrive in KL where I suppose the market is bigger and there are more food lovers who can afford this burger.

I for one absolutely LOVE their burgers! Carl's Jr burgers are different from your average McDonalds or Burger King in that their burgers are Grilled!!!

Although the prices here are more than McDonalds or Burger King, it's worth every penny. For starters, the burger size is huge for the price they're asking for. And second, the burger is packed with fillings! Just look at my half-eaten burger... SUPER YUM!!!

Here's hoping they bring Carl's Jr Burgers back to Penang soon :)

Big Apple @ Midvalley Megamall

Nice carrier box from BigApple Doughnuts!

I only bought 2. Even then, they gave me a box... great presentation, unlike other doughnut shops where you have to buy 3 or more to get a box... Kudos BigApple!!!

Cashewnut covered doughnuts!! And chocolate coated with peach-filling doughnuts!!!
Both my favourites from Big Apple!

Mid-valley Megamall, KL (DAY 6)

My last night here in KL was spent at Midvalley Megamall. I finished work around 5pm. Went back to freshen-up and then it was all systems go to Midvalley.

I left around quarter to six and OMG i was caught in the jam along federal highway...`! Heck the jam even started along Jalan Maharajalela... I was crawling like nobody's business..

Look at the LINE of crawling cars! infront of mine...

A sea of cars... in a JAM

More cars...
Here's a short clip of the KL jam:

Then I had to miss the turning to Midvalley which cost me to get into the federall highway jam. I literally had to U-turn twice and pass-by the broadcasting building TWICE! (slaps forehead)

So eventually, I managed to reach Midvalley at 7.02pm. (see time printed on parking ticket)
at last on the right path towards midvalley megamall
Finally the Gardens, Midvalley!

I promised myself that when in KL, to try-out new foods not found back home in Penang. I was walking around the Gardens and I came across this huge red sign board that says "Ninja Joe". Now that's something new not found in Penang. Needless to say, i went in and had dinner there.

I had the "Big Boss" burger set. It's actually pork burger.
My Big Boss burger

Paid RM1 for the additional bacon to my pork burger

Look at that stack! Lettuce, Bacon, Egg, pork burger, 2 buns

Lemonade
I like the fact that this restaurant offers Lemonade as a choice of drink, as compared to the normal soft-drinks and ice lemon tea. Oh, they give you a choice of lemonade or lemon tea :)

Was a little disappointed about the fries. They were too think and limp ;(

When in KL, I've also started a trend, to stop-by Krispy Kreme doughnuts. THese were my buys this time around. Oh, they had a new flavour out called: Delicious Apple

Delicious Apple

with Apple filling!!! abit too sweet though

this one's my favourite!
Shops around the Gardens, Midvalley:
