Green Island western food restaurant has been opened for a year now, with them celebrating their 1 year anniversary in October. I've been to this restaurant a number of times now, and have been wanting to blog about it ever since.
They are located in the row of shop houses in Bayan Baru called The One. It's a two-storey shop house serving western food. Their food is very affordable and they probably serve one of the cheapest drinks in town! (for a restaurant). And to top it all off, their service is super quick! Definitely three thumbs up! :)

Cheap drinks :) |
On top of their reasonably priced food items, they also offer Set Lunches.
Here's what we ordered...
 |
Mushroom soup for only RM1 (as an add-on for their set lunch) |
 |
My White coffee (cold) was quite a big glass and it only cost RM2.50

As mentioned earlier, their drinks are quite value for money. The White coffee (cold) I ordered, only cost RM2.50 per glass and mind you, that was a reasonably big glass, with a medium amount of ice. Unlike most restaurants, which charge more, and give you even more ice than drink, this restaurant really serves cheap, money worthy drinks :)
Next-up, our mains...
 |
Grilled Fish with mushroom sauce |
 |
Chicken with thai sauce (top left corner), Grilled fish with black pepper sauce (top right corner) |
The fish that they serve is not the usual Dory fish. This place offers Tilapiah fish ie fresh water fish, which is something different.
The overall experience was ok. But I was impressed at the quick service and cheap drinks :)
What do you think? Let me know :)
