Pasta Zanmai @ Gurney Paragon

As promised, here's my take of the time I had at Pasta Zanmai~!
For someone who loves pasta, the concept that Pasta Zanmai offers is simply awesome! The marriage of Japanese and Italian food... nice

Take a look at their menu...

 Nice selection of pizzas, pasta ie spaghetti...

I love the ambiance that whole restaurant gives... plus the lovely view of the sea... Gurney Drive...

Now, it's down to the food...
We ordered their house specials... Teriyaki chicken garlic omu rice...and spaghetti with salmon for me...

In addition to their ala chart menu, they actually offer set dishes... eg main course with soup and salad... or a choice of a set that comes with two mains.. like a combo...

Yummy vanilla ice cream in a chocolate coated wafer ... unfortunately, the wafer wasn't crispy.. :(

When it newly opened, the queues going into all three restaurants (pasta zanmi, sushi zanmai, rakuzen were insanely long!

Even now, there are still queues at peak hours...

Better go early if you want a seat! :)

 

An Italian Affair @ Bella Marino, Straits Quay

As promised, here is the first of my many food adventures around Penang's new & up-coming restaurants. I've previously mentioned this restaurant at Straits Quay, offering great Italian food at reasonable prices. As you can clearly see, the dates on the photos are from August 'D
